Science Museum

I <3 Family Days

Daddy, can you build us a water table like this?

Bubble girl

Air powered rocket? Yes, please.

This was amazing since Gavin has been doing some bird watching and studying at home already.
He hung around this area for quite a while!

First Beach Day 2014

We had the whole beach all to ourselves this gorgeous May afternoon!
And it was all fun and games until my camera got sand in it.... we did get a few pics to share though...

Max flew right out of his shoe!

Boys are off collecting treasures and

Alliyah was sculpting this! (hehe where are Gavin's legs?)

Treasures!, of course :)

Red-heads in a blanket.

What a beautiful, peaceful Monday.

Dog Treats

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs, lightly beaten
5 tablespoons peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two baking sheets and set them aside.
2. Whisk together both types of flour, the cornmeal and the rolled oats in a large mixing bowl.
3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Put the water, eggs, oil, vanilla and peanut butter in the well. Stir with a wooden spoon until mixed.
4. Lightly flour a countertop. Form the dough into a disk and place it on the countertop. Roll it out until its about 1/4 of an inch thick. Cut the treats out with a cookie cutter and place them an inch apart on a baking sheet. Repeat these steps until all of the dough has been used.
5. Bake the treats for ten minutes. Once baked let them cool for five more minutes. As they cool they will harden.

I was making big snow balls when we were playing outside, and then I made a snowman.
After that I made a giant snowball. -Connor

The Castle Project

On June 2012 Connor, Gavin, Max and I got to work on a medieval castle project for our homeschool group’s Presentation Day. We made it out of cardboard, Styrofoam, popsicle sticks and a lot of paint. We even made toilet paper roll knights, a king and queen. Dad helped with some of it, like the drawbridge but us kids built most of it. It took about two weeks to build but it only took four days to put together a giant lap book about life in the middle ages. It looks amazing.  - Alliyah
